Tutoring
The last days of tutoring will be this week, 5/17-5/19. If additional tutoring or assistance is needed after this time to get through finals or other areas, do not hesitate to give the Upward Bound office a call.
Summer Excellence Institute Information
Summer Excellence Institute 2011 runs from June 13—July 22.
Important Dates
Student Check– In: Sunday June 12, 2011 5:00 PM—6:00 PM
Fourth of July Holiday: Monday July 4, 2011
Holiday Check—In: Tuesday July 5, 2011 7:30 AM—8:30 AM
Variety Show: Thursday July 14, 2011 7:00 PM
Awards Ceremony: Thursday July 21, 2011 6:00 PM
Student Check-Out: Friday July 22, 2011 12:00 PM—1:00 PM
Reward Trip: Sunday July 24—Tuesday July 26, 2011
Wednesday Study Sessions
As the school year nears completion, finals and classes are getting tough and sometimes, additional help is needed. If you need extra help with any classes, feel free to take advantage of the Wednesday Study Sessions. With at least 24 hours notice, we can get you a tutor with almost any subject. Wednesday Study Sessions are held at Avila University.

Join us for the Relay for Life of KCMO
The #1 fundraising event for the American Cancer Society
Where? Avila University Campus
When? Friday, June 3 at 6:00 PM to Saturday, June 4 at 6:00 AM
Why? This is a 12 hour event, to signify that cancer never sleeps
Cost: $10 Registration
